Helpful, with a small snag

I signed up for their Global Export Import Trade Data and found it quite helpful for finding new suppliers. The initial demo was informative, and the sales rep was not pushy, which I appreciated. Access to the platform was provided promptly after I paid for the annual subscription. I've used their HS Code Finder quite a bit and it's accurate. My only minor complaint was that one time, I had an issue downloading a large report, and it took a few tries over 20 minutes to get it to work. Customer service was polite when I eventually contacted them, but the initial hiccup was a bit frustrating. Good value overall.

Good value on annual plan

I was looking for a good deal on trade data and found Volza. I took advantage of their annual subscription discount, which made the Brazil Export Data much more affordable than monthly options. The pricing felt fair for the amount of data and features I received. It was definitely worth the purchase for what I paid.

Good data, quick setup

I purchased a subscription for their USA Import Data. The ordering process was straightforward on their site; I filled out a form and someone from their sales team called me back within a few hours to finalize details and payment. Delivery of access credentials took about 24 hours after payment cleared. I had a few questions about exporting data to Excel and their support team was responsive, guiding me through the process. The data itself seems comprehensive and has been useful for competitor monitoring. The interface is pretty intuitive, though it took a little getting used to how to filter effectively. Overall, a solid platform for trade data.

Hey guys, thinking about signing up for Volza. Anyone know if their data is actually legit? Like, the customs records and stuff, is it accurate or just estimates?

S Steve 2 months ago
Yeah, I've used them for a while now. The data seems pretty solid. I've cross-referenced a few things with other sources and it usually lines up. Not 100% perfect, but good enough for market research.

It's generally accurate. They claim to get it from official customs, and my experience mostly confirms that. What you gotta remember is no data source is perfect, but Volza is one of the better ones compared to some other platforms out there.

Thinking of getting an annual subscription to Volza. Do they ever have like, promo codes or special deals for annual plans? Or is it just through direct sales?

B Beth 2 months ago
They usually give discounts for annual commitments, but it's more of a direct sales thing than a public promo code. Try negotiating with them.

I got a pretty good discount on my annual plan but it was after a demo and some back-and-forth with their sales rep. Don't expect to find a coupon code easily online.

Anyone know how often Volza updates their trade data? Is it like, daily, weekly, monthly? Trying to figure out how current the info I'd be getting is.

J Jared 2 months ago
It's pretty frequent, definitely not just monthly. I think they say it's updated regularly, like on a rolling basis as new customs data comes in. So it's fairly fresh.

Afaik, it's pretty quick. Not daily for *every* country, but for the major ones like US, India, etc., it's updated very frequently. You'll see new shipments pop up pretty fast.

quick question on Volza's pricing. do they ever do like, free trials or anything? wanna check it out before committing to a plan.

J Julia Bennett 1 month ago
Yeah, they definitely do free trials. I got one before I signed up. Just hit up their sales team, they'll usually set you up with demo access.

Yep, free trial is a thing. Also, I think they sometimes offer first month discounts or referral bonuses if you know someone. Worth asking about during the demo.

I'm looking at Volza but also checking out Panjiva. Anyone have experience with both? Wondering which one's better for finding new suppliers in Asia.

J James Torres 2 months ago
Panjiva is good but I found Volza's coverage for some Asian countries to be a bit more detailed, especially for India and Vietnam. It really depends on the specific product/region you're looking at though.

They're both strong. Volza has a good interface and if you're focusing on a lot of import/export stuff, it could be slightly better for the sheer volume of data it offers. But Panjiva is also a solid choice. Maybe get demos for both if you can?
